Frequently Asked Questions
For a Relaxation Massage, wear whatever you're comfortable arriving in. You will have privacy to undress to your comfort level, and professional draping is always used throughout your session.
For a Therapeutic Massage, clothing that allows for movement and assessment is recommended:
• Women: Sports bra with athletic shorts or a bathing suit bottom
• Men: Athletic shorts
Your comfort and privacy are always respected.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Everything needed for your massage session is provided.
If you're scheduled for a Therapeutic Massage, please wear or bring the recommended clothing for movement and assessment.
When appropriate, your assessment may also include posture photographs and a short gait video to help evaluate posture and movement patterns. Posture photographs and gait video will only be taken with your permission.
Can I request more or less pressure?
Absolutely. Your comfort and feedback are important throughout your session. Please let me know at any time if you'd like more or less pressure or if a technique doesn't feel comfortable.
I’ll adjust the session based on your feedback and how your body responds.
Will therapeutic massage hurt?
Therapeutic massage does not have to be painful to be effective. Some techniques may feel more focused or intense, but the work should always remain within a level that feels manageable for you.
Please communicate with me throughout your session. Pressure and techniques can always be adjusted based on your comfort and how your body responds.
What if I'm running late?
If you’re running late, please let me know as soon as possible. I’ll do my best to accommodate you, but your session may need to be shortened so the next client’s appointment can begin on time.
Yes. Gratuities are always appreciated, but never expected. My priority is that you feel comfortable and receive a session focused on your individual needs and goals.
Can I work out after my massage?
In most cases, light to moderate activity is fine after a massage if you feel good.
After deeper or more focused therapeutic work, you may prefer to give your body some recovery time before a strenuous workout. Pay attention to how you feel and adjust your activity accordingly.
